ODE TO MY SISTER

The trees begin to sing in early April
And early April early in my life
My God did sing and bring to me a sister
That I did need to be forlorn no more
I look upon her as I see God's wonder
Such love, such joy, such beauty's wonder full
God from the bottom of my heart I thank you
Your love is great and named my Margaret

A Christmas Poem12-26-98

'Twas a long night; 'twas mid-winter's night
Th' pantheists laughed for th' comin' o' light
Th' atheists huddled in their huts d'hermite
Determined to demonstrate Nothing is right
Th' Christians and Moslems all sharpened their knives
Eager to kill anyone so unwise
As to not understand that the other told lies
That the one true religion had the hate and the might
To slaughter the world out of piety and spite
Th' Jews, in th' meantime, kept up their old tricks
Maintaining subjugation by threatening dicks
While th' children, all pantheists
Looked on in wonder
As insanity ripped their whole world asunder
